INTERN POSITION WILL SPEND TIME AS AN INTERN IN THE AUDIO DEPT, LIGHTING DEPT AND THE MOVING LIGHTS REPAIR DEPT.  RECEIVING AN OVERVIEW OF ALL DEPARTMENTS AND LEARNING BASICS IN EACH DEPT.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AUDIO:

Position Title: Audio Intern

Manager's Title: Audio Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

Assist in the implementation and operation of audio rental systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the building and assembly of audio systems such as racks, PA packages, and cabling.
  • Assist loading and unloading trucks.
  • Assist in the disassembly of systems and put away items upon return. 
  • Clean equipment before every rental.
  • Assist in various shop projects as needed.

AUDIO KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  • Basic knowledge of audio signal flow.
  • Aptitude and drive for learning new skills.
  • Proven accuracy in work and attention to detail. 
  • Valid driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Oral communication via telephone and in person.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LIGHTING:

Position Title:     Lighting Intern

Manager:               Lighting Department Manager 

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

Support Lighting Department in applicable projects. Lighting Interns work with the lighting department and other electricians to execute designs, projects and maintain equipment. Work hours will be determined by the needs of the lighting department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

•                Operating light board under the supervision of the Stage

              Manager as needed.

•                Participating in load-in.

•                Assist Lighting Designers on an as-needed basis.

•                Keep paperwork and information as current as possible.

•                Assist on any special projects, should any arise.

•                Follow all Morris standards and practices.

•                Test and maintain all lighting equipment with the

              exception of moving lights.

•                Maintain overall cleanliness of the lighting department

               space.

•                Work with co-workers as a team to ensure success.

•                Project a positive company image at all times.
